At Daifuku Intralogistics America, strong leadership is central to our ability to innovate, deliver value, and maintain a customer-first approach in a fast-evolving industry. We’re proud to share an exciting leadership update that reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence and strategic growth.

We’re pleased to announce that David Campbell has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Direct Sales and Marketing.

With over 25 years of experience in supply chain automation and integrated distribution solutions, David’s promotion is a recognition of his outstanding contributions to our business and the broader material handling industry. His technical depth, strategic mindset, and unwavering focus on the customer make him exceptionally well-suited for this expanded leadership role.

A Trusted Leader with Industry-Wide Impact

Throughout his career, David has built a reputation as a leader who delivers results through a combination of deep industry expertise and a collaborative, people-centered approach. His experience spans systems engineering, operational leadership, and executive management across a wide range of supply chain and automation disciplines.

Since joining Daifuku Intralogistics America, David has consistently demonstrated the ability to align customer needs with complex technical solutions, helping to drive innovation, efficiency, and business outcomes for clients across a broad range of industries. His strategic vision and deep understanding of automation technologies have played a key role in expanding our reach and strengthening our relationships with key customers.

Elevating Sales and Marketing Strategy

In his new role as Senior Vice President of Direct Sales and Marketing, David will lead efforts to further integrate and align our sales and marketing strategies, accelerate customer engagement, and drive commercial growth.

His key responsibilities will include:

- Leading our direct sales teams across North America

- Driving alignment between sales, marketing, engineering, and operations

- Enhancing customer experience and lifecycle engagement

- Strengthening Daifuku’s brand visibility and thought leadership

- Identifying new market opportunities and innovation pathways

David’s ability to connect the dots between market needs, solution design, and customer value is a critical asset as we continue to support businesses looking to modernize and scale their operations through intelligent automation.

Driving Growth in a Changing Industry

The material handling and logistics landscape is rapidly evolving. Labor shortages, increasing SKUs, space constraints, and shifting consumer expectations are creating new challenges and opportunities for businesses across the supply chain.

At Daifuku, we believe these challenges are best addressed through custom-engineered automation solutions that are backed by strong partnerships and guided by experienced leadership. David’s promotion comes at a time when more organizations are turning to automation not just to keep up but to get ahead.

With his strategic perspective and deep operational knowledge, David will be instrumental in helping customers navigate this complexity and make confident, data-driven decisions that lead to long-term success.

A Customer-First Leadership Approach

What truly sets David apart is his customer-first philosophy. He approaches every engagement by listening carefully, asking the right questions, and identifying the best path forward based on the specific needs of each operation. His leadership style is rooted in trust, transparency, and teamwork values that are deeply aligned with our company culture.

Our President, Christoph Schenk, shared his thoughts on the promotion:

David has been a critical part of our leadership team and an advocate for our customers since day one. His ability to align our commercial strategy with operational excellence is unmatched, and his promotion reflects both the value he brings and the trust we place in his leadership.”

Strengthening the Daifuku Legacy

David’s promotion reinforces our focus on building an agile, experienced leadership team ready to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. As we continue to expand our offerings in automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), AGVs, robotics, conveyors, software, and sortation technologies, having the right leadership in place is essential.

David will play a pivotal role in guiding how we bring those solutions to market, ensuring that they are designed, delivered, and supported in a way that meets the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Looking Ahead

As Daifuku Intralogistics America looks to the future, we are more committed than ever to helping our customers thrive in a complex and competitive environment. That commitment starts with leadership having experienced, visionary individuals at the helm who understand not only where the market is today, but where it’s going tomorrow.

David Campbell’s promotion to SVP of Direct Sales and Marketing is a testament to his dedication, performance, and leadership. We’re excited to see how his expanded role will drive continued success for our customers, our team, and our organization as a whole.

Please join us in congratulating David on this well-earned promotion. We look forward to what’s ahead with his leadership helping to shape the future of intelligent material handling at Daifuku Intralogistics America. Contact us here.
